Class 4S (Mrs Spence)

Welcome to Class 4S

We have settled in well to year 4 and we are working hard to be

Prepared, Productive and Proving Progress in every lesson.

Success comes through personal effort

We have lots of great things planned for this year,

follow our updates here.

As part of our learning in History, we went on a trip to Quarry Bank Mill.

We had a brilliant day and learned lots about what it was like for Victorian children working in the mill and the types of jobs they would do.

We also visited the Apprentice House. We saw the school room, where the children would learn to read and write. The teacher was very strict and there were some horrible punishments if you were naughty!

We also went into the dormitories, where the children would sleep, and we got to see inside the kitchen. We loved visiting the doctor's room and finding out about all the treatments, especially the leeches!

WORLD BOOK DAY 2017

This week in ERIC we have been sharing some of our favourite books.

On World Book Day we had a go at writing some very short stories -

they were only 10 words long!

World Book Day Scavenger Hunt!

Can you find...

...a train?      ...a frog?        ...a surprise?       ...a king?
